A textbook Burgundy that will never be mistaken for any other region and that is exactly why we like it. A blend of Savigny Les Planchots de la Champagne and neighboring Chorey-les-Beaune give a Bourgogne rouge that is so much more than the basic village name. Black cherry and dark fruits, but mostly earth; earth that has a subtle stemmy/woodsyness of damp soil, savory herbs, and spices.  Rustic yet immediately approachable. A perfect house wine!
